Chris Melendez strives to share his passions with others and to help them be the best person and golfer they can be. He believes in a holistic approach to golf improvement, in which every individual has their own recipe for success. Chris is a lifelong student of the Game of Golf, who started playing at age 7 thanks to his childhood Hero, Tiger Woods. Melendez Golf provides the best resources, technology and information available to his students. He believes through hard work and perseverance, all dreams are possible.
Chris has been coaching golf in Boulder County for nearly a decade. He was the volunteer assistant coach for Fairview High School during their State Championship season in 2019. He now works with both the Fairview and Monarch HS teams as a volunteer assistant coach. Chris has had several students go on to play college golf, including three current NCAA Division 1 golfers. He works with golfers of all ages and abilities, and strives to make the game more inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. Chris is also a Master Club Fitter, and believes properly fitted equipment is a vital piece of the equation to playing your best golf. He is a CU grad with a degree in psychology, and offers a Mental Golf Recipe program to help master the mental game. Chris will evaluate your current game using technology and video, listen to your goals, and form a short-term and long-term improvement plan.
Another serious passion for Chris is Fly Fishing. He spends many of his off-days with his dog, Cheyenne, on the river where he finds himself the most present and mindful. Chris is passionate about wildlife and land conservation, which he shares through his teachings of his two main passions: Golf and Fly Fishing.
